This week, we’re excited to offer workshops on securing funding for your venture and building strong credit. Plus, we're thrilled to announce the re-launch of our website, Tribe 2.0!
For months, we've been building a new platform designed to empower you, better connect the entrepreneurial ecosystem, and make finding your community easier than ever.
Our new website boasts a modern design that reflects our core values, offers deeper insights into how we support entrepreneurs, and provides easy access to the resources you need to help you launch, build, and scale your business.
On this website, you will have access to grants, business support, courses, workshops, programming, jobs, and other opportunities.

Last week, we also launched our founder drop-in support sessions to better serve our members.
Whether you’re just starting or looking to scale your business, our team is available at 1717 Barrington Street, every Thursday between 3 - 5 PM to listen, provide guidance, and help you overcome challenges.

Fair Fashion Festival Halifax

Participants can enjoy a clothing swap, attend panels with industry experts, and join hands-on workshops like EPR writing and mending. Each Fair Fashion Festival is unique, offering different components tailored to the host city.

The Ocean Startup Challenge is a competitive program designed to foster innovative solutions to pressing ocean industry issues. Since its inception in 2020, the initiative has provided over $2.25 million in funding to support 95 teams working on groundbreaking ocean technologies.
Key benefits for finalists include:
Financial support: $25,000 for prototyping and business development

The Black Innovators in STEM Exhibit

Imhotep Legacy Academy is proud to present the Black Innovators in STEM Exhibition, curated by Mr. Francis Jeffers of the Canadian Multicultural Inventors Museum. This inspiring exhibit showcases the incredible contributions of Black people to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics throughout history.
The goal of this exhibit is to inspire Black youth to see themselves as part of this legacy and to foster a belief in their potential to make significant contributions to STEM. By showcasing the achievements of Black innovators, ILA hopes to dispel stereotypes and encourage greater diversity in these fields. This exhibit will be on display throughout Innovation Week.

Startup Canada Tour is coming to Atlantic Canada ✈️

United Colours of Fashion Fall Festival 2024 - Halifax

United Colours of Fashion (UCOF) is a non-profit organization that helps newcomers, immigrants, and Indigenous people pursue careers in fashion. Their Fall Fashion Festival celebrates artists from various cultural backgrounds. This event promotes multiculturalism, intercultural engagement, and collaboration.
The theme for this year's festival is "Threads of Unity: Weaving Stories Through Stitches". It will feature fashion shows, cultural performances, and activities that showcase the diversity of the community. UCOF hopes to create a space where people can appreciate different cultures and feel united.
This year, in commemoration of their fourth year, they’re coming to Halifax!
